Classification of blogs...

There is different classification and types of blog in the internet. This happen because different people use different types of blog for different purposes. Different people would have different interest and story to share with other internet users, so that they can express themselves in the different way. According to Laura (2012), there are 3 different types of blogs that are commonly used by bloggers which is:-

•         Professional or business blog
  ·         Profit making or news blog
  ·         Hobby or personal blog 

ABC Radio National had an interview session with media analyst Margaret Simon in discussing the different type of blogs that currently exist. According to Margaret there is 9 blogs that is currently exists. The 9 blog is:-

1. Pamphleteering blog – The purpose is to talk about politics and current events.
2. Digest blog - People use this blog to give useful fact and information that they collected from other sources.
3. Advocacy blog - Similar to pamphleteering blog. Is use to discuss people opinion on particular issues.
4. Popular mechanic blog - type of blog that created to assist people who need some advice.
5. Exhibition blog – Used by people that want to bring or show their work to public.
6. Gatewatcher blog – discuss any stories related to media.
7. Diary blog – used for people to share anything even though it’s related to their personal life.
8. Advertisement blog - Use by commercial company to advertise their products.
9. News blog - People use to share any news to others.

In my opinion on blog classification, blogs must be classified according to the type of interest for example sport blog, game blog and food blog.
